The Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence offers many opportunities for leaders in the nonprofit sector. Find out more about our programs:

  • Fellows Program - an 18-month program to help nonprofit executive directors deepen, enhance, or set a new direction for their leadership abilities
  • Board Development Program - educating members of nonprofit boards about their roles and responsibilities
  • Organizational Development Workshops - strengthening management practices at the senior leadership level
  • Nonprofit Emerging Leaders Program - to help prepare the next generation of Rhode Island nonprofit leaders
  • NEW in 2012: Leadership Development Grants - to help nonprofit organizations build their internal capacity to develop, recruit, and retain leadership/talent.
  • NEW in 2012: Executive Director Coaching - to help nonprofit executives who are ready to enhance their capacity for leadership, make changes in their work performance, and use a coaching process to achieve maximum impact in their organization

Sector Convenings
Periodically, the Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence convenes nonprofit leaders in an informal setting to provide a forum for networking, sharing of best practices, and brainstorming of solutions to common nonprofit challenges. If you have an idea for a convening that you would like to share, please send us your ideas.
