The Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence offers many opportunities for leaders in the nonprofit sector. Find out more about our programs:

Leadership development

• Board Development Program - educating members of nonprofit boards about their roles and responsibilities
• Fellows Program - an 18-month program to help nonprofit executive directors deepen, enhance, or set a new direction for their leadership abilities
• Nonprofit Emerging Leaders Program - to help prepare the next generation of Rhode Island nonprofit leaders
• Leadership Development Grants - to help nonprofit organizations build their internal capacity to develop, recruit, and retain leadership/talent

Organizational development

• Organizational Development Workshops - strengthening management practices at the senior leadership level
• Capacity-building Program - to help up to 10 nonprofit organizations attain organizational stability and financial sustainability

Engagement and Reflection

• Best Practice Awards - to honor Rhode Island nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated outstanding practice in the areas of board governance, leadership development, or creative collaboration
• Convenings: The INE will occasionally convene nonprofit executives and board members for informal conversations and opportunities to meet with business and political leaders. We welcome all suggestions for engaging members of the nonprofit community.
