The Newport County Fund was established to enhance the quality of life in the communities of Newport County - Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, and Tiverton.
The first and only Foundation-established fund with a geographic focus, the Fund is built around the idea of regional philanthropy. A volunteer advisory committee of residents and community leaders guides the Fund. NCF awards grants to projects and organizations that benefit Newport County's communities. (These grants supplement, not replace, the Foundation's current statewide grantmaking programs.)

At a new wellness kiosk, members of the Edward King House in Newport can independently have their blood pressure, weight, and heart rate checked, with the results transmitted electronically to the wellness nurse at the Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties.
