On April 22, over 150 volunteers joined the Roger Williams Park Conservancy for the City of Providence’s Annual Earth Day Clean Up at Roger Williams Park. Neighbors, students, businesses, and families came out on a rainy (and cold!) Saturday morning to clean up trash along the trails, waterways, and roads in the Park. Mayor Elorza kicked off the citywide event at the Boathouse along with the Providence Parks Department, ServeRI, REI, and WBRU.

Since launching the $10 million Campaign for Roger Williams Park, a number of capital projects have been completed or are well underway, the Roger Williams Park Conservancy expanded its board of directors that provide strategic and oversight for the new organization, and we continue to bring accessible community programming and engagement activities into the Park.

This Saturday, May 6 we will Celebrate RWP with a full day of community programming in the Park including the PVD Flea, food trucks, live music, free yoga, tours, and tennis lessons. The fee will be waived at the Botanical Center and the Museum of Natural History.

This June the Roger Williams Park Conservancy is offering a series of free guided tours in the Park. There is something for everyone including tours of trees, waterways, landscape, sculptures, and architecture in RWP! We hope you can join us for a tour or two…or all five!

This summer we will host a number of free outdoor movies and performances in the Park. Sign up for the Roger Williams Park e-news for upcoming announcements of summer performances and showings.
