Guidelines for Using STARS

To Apply

A complete application includes:

  • Completed online application
  • Financial aid award letter from college or university
  • Most recent transcript
  • Financial information worksheet
  • Student Aid Report

An application is not complete without these documents. Applications missing any of the required documents will be incomplete and will not be considered.

Please note: The four required documents should be scanned and attached in the Attach Documents section of the online application. Scholarships may require additional documents; these requirements are in the online application.

Additional Scholarships

The Rhode Island Foundation administers many additional scholarships that require applications be submitted directly to a school or organization. Contact information for those scholarships is listed on the Scholarship Opportunities page. Please contact those organizations directly for deadline and application information.
