Civic Leadership Fund

Transformative change requires leadership and commitment. The Civic Leadership Fund allows us to go beyond our traditional grantmaking to quickly and directly tackle the day's most important issues.

The Civic Leadership Fund ’s Community Conversations feature keynoters of local and national renown who offer new insights, provoke thoughtful reflection, and spark dialogue. Here, Dr. Andres A. Alonso, former CEO, Baltimore Public Schools, (center), chats with attendees about the challenges of improving student outcomes in urban school systems.

Be a part of the solution now

We believe that when committed citizens come together, creative and meaningful change can happen. We need to respond to today's needs - now - and find solutions that serve us long-term.

The Civic Leadership Fund is set up for immediate use, so it enables us to seize fresh opportunities, meet emerging challenges and continue our work as a connector and a convener.

With Civic Leadership Funds, we:

  • examine issues by commissioning research
  • create conversation through public affairs programs
  • advocate for policy change
  • convene leaders and incubate innovative ideas to craft solutions

Yes, these are big challenges, but we have bold ambitions, inspiring examples, strong partners and a proud history upon which to build. Let’s make it happen, Rhode Island."

-Neil Steinberg

Our Vision: A Rhode Island where people with diverse interests, backgrounds, and means come together for the greater good. Now, more than ever, our state needs you to step forward and work with us.

Give to the Civic Leadership Fund
