Finance 101: Understanding What the Finance Committee is Saying

Target audience: New and seasoned board members
Want to have a better understanding of what's being presented by the finance committee? Want to feel comfortable in your ability to assess the financial health and performance of your nonprofit? Regardless of your training and background, you CAN become conversant, even competent, in reading and drawing conclusions from financial statements. In this session we'll discuss the basics of financial statements, how you can find your way in to understanding them, and how financials should be linked to overall strategic planning. It'll be fun!

PEER LEARNING NETWORK MEETINGS FOR BOARD CHAIRS

These peer networking sessions are designed to help board chairs learn on the job and build out a network of peer support. Facilitated by INE staff, the content and topics of each meeting will be determined by group members. Action-oriented next-steps, resource sharing, and informal coaching will be provided at every meeting and incorporated into subsequent meetings.

Peer learning network meetings for new executive directors
Date: Continues through June 8, 2017
Time: all meetings take place from 12:00 – 2:00 PM

This monthly peer networking program is designed to help new executive directors with less than one year of experience learn on the job and build out a network of peer support. Facilitated by INE staff, the content and topics of each meeting will be determined by group members. Action-oriented next-steps, resource sharing, and informal coaching will be provided at every meeting and incorporated into subsequent meetings.
