The Haffenreffer Family Fund was established at the Foundation in 1987 to support Rhode Island nonprofit organizations. Grants can be used for a variety of activities that strengthen and improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness, including, but not limited to:
- Strategic planning
- Business planning
- Board development
- Fund development planning
- Marketing planning
- Feasibility studies
- Reorganization and streamlining
- Financial management planning or systems
- Transition or succession planning.
Applications are accepted by the trustees of the Haffenreffer Family Fund annually. Grant decisions are made in November.
Organizations are selected by the trustees of the Haffenreffer Family Fund to submit proposals for consideration.
Please note: Applications will not be considered from organizations with overdue grant reports. If you are submitting a grant report, please ensure that it is submitted by September 1, 2016.
