Haffenreffer Family Fund Grants

The Haffenreffer Family Fund was established at the Foundation in 1987 to support Rhode Island nonprofit organizations. Grants support various activities that strengthen and improve these qualified 501(c)(3) organizations.

Typical grant requests have included, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic planning
  • Business planning
  • Board development
  • Fund development planning
  • Marketing planning
  • Feasibility studies
  • Reorganization and streamlining
  • Financial management planning or systems
  • Transition or succession planning. 

Eligibility

Organizations are selected by the trustees of the Haffenreffer Family Fund to submit proposals for consideration. Other applications also are accepted. Please note: Applications will not be considered from organizations with overdue grant reports. If you are submitting a grant report, please ensure that it is submitted by September 1, 2017.

Application Period

The application period opens June 1, 2017 and runs through August 1, 2017.
