Small Grants

A Small Grant can be just as beneficial to your organization as one at the Strategy Grant level. Though it is not mandatory that you speak with Foundation staff before submitting a small grants application, it can be helpful. Our community philanthropy staff members are available to discuss your idea. When reviewing your small grants proposal, we apply the same evaluation criteria used in the strategy grants program. In most cases, we conduct a site visit. Maximum awards range from $1,000 to $7,500.  Applications are reviewed monthly.  Awards are generally not to be used solely for general operating support.

Within the small grants program, an organization can receive a Basic Human Needs, Professional Development, and either an Organizational Development or Demonstration Project grant in a given calendar year.
