One aspect of The Rhode Island Foundation is a collection of individual endowments, more than 1,000 of them. They run the gamut, from the Carpenter Fund, established in 1927 to support Pawtucket nonprofits, to the Water Works for Women Fund, founded in 2002 for breast cancer research.
See an up-to-date list of all of our endowments, with a description of each endowment’s purpose.
And we also show our appreciation for the Rhode Islanders who have made future plans to conduct their philanthropy through The Rhode Island Foundation, by joining The 1916 Society.
