You can contribute to any of the more than 1,000 endowments managed by The Rhode Island Foundation.
They run the gamut, such as the Carpenter Fund, established in 1927 to support Pawtucket nonprofits, or the Water Works for Women Fund, founded in 2002 for breast cancer research.
You can use the endowment list to:
- Contribute to an endowment established by friends or relatives;
- Add to an endowment benefiting a favorite cause or charitable organization;
- Support a scholarship endowment to your Rhode Island alma mater or hometown;
- Make a gift to an endowment supporting the local library, for example; and/or
- Choose the Fund for Rhode Island, the Foundation’s unrestricted endowment, benefitting Rhode Island needs.
