The Foundation’s Basic Human Needs program supports those agencies and efforts that provide food, clothing, housing, prescription and utility assistance to Rhode Island residents most in need. Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded on a monthly basis, with decisions made and announced at the end of every month.
Organizations may apply to the program more than once in a given calendar year, but no more than $5,000 in total grants can be awarded; care should be taken to assess and prioritize the needs of the communities being served.
Agencies interested in requesting funds through Basic Human Needs can download the application here or obtain a print copy and answers to any questions regarding the program by calling Tina Donate, Grants Administrator, at the Foundation, (401) 274-4564.
