By Connie Grosch / May 8, 2014 /   Loading Disqus...

Yesterday at the Foundation, our Daniel Kertzner presented an engaging and concise workshop for those nonprofit organizations looking to improve on their grant-seeking skills, offering ten quick tips:

  • Prepare
  • Identify potential funders
  • Evaluate the match
  • Get your ducks in a row
  • Establish the right relationship with the funder
  • Answer the questions as asked
  • Craft a well-planned budget
  • Consider how you will know if you are successful
  • Cross the t’s and dot the i’s
  • Keep your funders informed after you receive a grant

Through our Initiative for Nonprofit Excellence, we are committed to building the capacity of nonprofit organizations so they can better achieve their missions. Save the date for our next session on May 22: Program Assessment: Developing and Using Logic Models.
