Yesterday at the Foundation, our Daniel Kertzner presented an engaging and concise workshop for those nonprofit organizations looking to improve on their grant-seeking skills, offering ten quick tips:

  • Prepare
  • Identify potential funders
  • Evaluate the match
  • Get your ducks in a row
  • Establish the right relationship with the funder
  • Answer the questions as asked
  • Craft a well-planned budget
  • Consider how you will know if you are successful
  • Cross the t’s and dot the i’s
  • Keep your funders informed after you receive a grant
