Helping students dream big

Hundreds of students from across the state are headed off to college with the help of $2.4 million in scholarships from the Rhode Island Foundation. Nearly 100 of them joined us for a cook-out in their honor. We celebrated their achievements and thanked the dozens of individuals, families and organizations that created scholarship funds with us. The impact of their generosity will be felt for decades as these young people enter the workforce and contribute to civic life of their communities.

Educational Success is one of our strategic priorities. All of our scholarships enable students to spend more time focusing on their studies and less time worrying about how to pay for books or college loans. Just finding out that help is available will change the way some students think about college.

In addition to general assistance, there are scholarships based on hometown, college major and family history among other factors. Here is a complete list of scholarshipsapplication deadlines, and eligibility requirements. Applications for the 2020-2021 academic year will open in January.
