For Professional Advisors: Trust-worthy decisions
By Jim Sanzi / November 25, 2014 /   Loading Disqus...

Acting as a fiduciary and managing trust assets calls for a sophisticated understanding of the investment markets and thorough knowledge of the legislative landscape and tax code. Trusts are challenged by market conditions and can carry administrative burdens. That is why, along with the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants, we co-hosted a continuing education seminar for professional advisors: attorneys, financial planners and CPA’s, who often face complex situations in an increasingly challenging climate.

“Trust-Worthy Decisions” featuring Anne K. Bucciarelli, Associate Director, Wealth Planning and Analysis, Bernstein Global Wealth Management, dealt with the current challenges facing trustees and provided a framework for making reasonable and fiduciary-centric decisions.  Bucciarelli discussed and presented case studies on a variety of trusts with differing purposes, goals and concerns that shape trustee decisions.

For nearly 100 years, we have partnered with professional advisors to create highly effective approaches to charitable giving. Seminars like today's highlight the latest information on estate planning and charitable giving strategies, provide networking opportunities, and continuing education credits. Thank you to all who took time out of their busy schedules to attend and learn with us.
