'Tis the season to give back

We at the Foundation work with so many generous Rhode Islanders who get excited about giving and are passionate about having an impact on the community. They make it possible for Rhode Island organizations to take on job creation and training, to improve public education, to provide nutritious meals for those in need, to deliver high-quality health care, to create strong communities through affordable housing and so much more.

Thank you for your excitement and passion for giving.

Some weeks ago, we welcomed more than 100 members of our 1916 Society – Rhode Islanders who name the Foundation in their estate plans – to the Roger Williams Park Casino in Providence to celebrate their deep commitment to philanthropy. They heard from Wendy Nilsson, the superintendent of the Providence Parks and Recreation Department, as she spoke about her passion – the critical role that parks play in healthy urban communities.

Our partners in philanthropy come from a variety of backgrounds and bring very different interests to the table, but they all share a deep understanding of the value of giving.

Our donors make our work possible, and our grantees make it real. Your support is helping to make our community brighter, healthier, and stronger. Right here. Right now. Your donation will benefit Rhode Island long after the holiday ends.
