Welcoming new Professional Advisory Council members
By Jim Sanzi / January 20, 2016 /   Loading Disqus...

Over the years, we have had the great pleasure of working with countless professional advisors throughout Rhode Island. In addition to playing a critical role advising clients on charitable giving strategies and options, many of those accountants, attorneys, wealth advisors, and other planning professionals have played a critical role in helping us achieve our mission through their service on the Foundation’s Professional Advisory Council (PAC).

Our PAC has consistently provided us with invaluable input and guidance as to how we may better serve our donors and Rhode Island’s communities. We are proud to count well over one hundred of the state’s top planning professionals among those who have served on our PAC since its inception over twenty years ago.

Recently, at our annual Professional Advisor Appreciation Breakfast, I had the pleasure of honoring seven outgoing members of our PAC. It was an honor to get to know outgoing members Rogean Makowski, Ernie Almonte, Eric Archer, Sally Dowling, Bill Palmisciano, Paul Sanford, and Amanda Tarzwell during their years of service on the PAC. We are extremely grateful for their contributions to philanthropy in Rhode Island.

I am also excited to welcome seven new faces to the Council. Our newest Council members hail from various Rhode Island communities and bring with them a breadth and depth of professional expertise:

Finally, I am pleased to welcome veteran Council member Melissa Burnett-Testa, Esq., of Howland Evangelista Kohlenberg Burnett, as Council chair, and to introduce fellow attorney, Kate Kishfy, in photo above, as the newest member of the Foundation’s development team. Kate will be the point person at the Foundation on professional advisor outreach.

We are excited about the opportunity to work with so many top-notch professional planners in the year ahead.
