Drawing strength from community

We mourn the victims of the recent mass shooting in Orlando and offer our love, support, and hopes for healing to all those affected and for Orlando’s LGBTQ community.

In times of such heartbreaking violence, may we draw strength from the compassion and care of community. Orlando has mobilized to create the OneOrlando Fund. Administered by the Central Florida Foundation, a sister community foundation, the OneOrlando Fund will support nonprofits that are supporting the victims and their families, along with the LGBTQ, Hispanic, faith, and other affected communities. For more information or to contribute to the Fund, please visit OneOrlando.org. Funders for LGBTQ Issues created a resource guide for individuals looking to support the local LGBTQ and Latino communities in Orlando. And we are proud of the many Rhode Island organizations and our partners in the Equity Action Fund that work tirelessly to support Rhode Island’s LGBTQ community.

We remain committed to equity, justice, and love.
