Welcoming our new partners in philanthropy
By Jim Sanzi / March 14, 2018 /   Loading Disqus...

Perhaps nothing is as rewarding for me, professionally, as celebrating new partners in philanthropy. All year, we at the Foundation work toward many objectives for our community, with inspiring philanthropy as one of our most important.

And, every year, we are privileged and humbled by the fact that so many individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations answer the call by creating a fund with us or by joining our legacy society with their future gift intention, or sometimes both.

As I mentioned at our recent new donor appreciation reception, good fundraising is all about educating and inspiring others, but more often than not, the people and story behind a gift leave the fundraiser inspired. Donors to the Rhode Island Foundation care deeply about important causes throughout our state. They care about community. Many care about charitable legacy.

Above all, they care about helping others in diverse ways as you will read in the stories of new donors to the Foundation in 2017. We appreciate them all for their generosity and partnership.
