Our Civic Leadership Fund, along with the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, sponsored our eighth discussion on Building a 21st Century Education System in Rhode Island.

Gregory Hodge, a social change activist and organizational development consultant from the San Francisco Bay area, led a panel of local education leaders in talking about "cross-sector coalitions for smart education systems: deepening grass roots engagement."

The conversation, moderated by Warren Simmons, executive director of the Annenberg Institute, included Angela Ankoma, CYC-Evidence2Success Community Partner; Rebecca Boxx, Director, Providence Children and Youth Cabinet; Anna Cano Morales, Director, Latino Policy Institute at Roger Williams University; Keith Oliveira, President, Providence School Board; Adeola A. Oredola, Executive Director, Youth in Action.
