Generous Rhode Islanders have established more than 1,400 funds at the Rhode Island Foundation. You can contribute to any of these existing funds or establish one of your own.
May we suggest a few funds you might consider?
Fund for Rhode Island
Our unrestricted endowed fund allows the Foundation to address what our founders described as the "issues of the day" through our discretionary grants. Since 1916, generous Rhode Islanders have placed their trust in the Foundation's knowledge and expertise to determine the course of their philanthropy.
Civic Leadership Fund
Our current use fund, established in 2012, empowers us to go "beyond grantmaking" to influence critical community challenges through convening, research, and policy. Our state needs engaged, civic-minded people to step forward to work with us to seize exciting opportunities and solve stubborn problems.
Roger Williams Park Fund
In honor of our centennial, the Foundation is leading a $10 million campaign to preserve and enhance one of Rhode Island's most treasured spaces. The People's Park has attracted generation after generation for more than 100 years, and we want to preserve it forever.
Fund for Education
We are committed to ensuring that all Rhode Island’s young people have access to a high-quality public education. This fund supports and extends our grantmaking, capacity building, and policy leadership work of our strategic initiative, Educational Success.
Any of our current funds
Individuals, families, companies, and organizations have established funds at the Foundation to benefit specific causes or organizations, and each would welcome your support.
