Generous Rhode Islanders have established more than 1,700 funds at the Rhode Island Foundation. You can contribute to any of these existing funds or establish one of your own.
May we suggest a few funds you might consider?
Fund for Rhode Island
Our unrestricted endowed fund allows the Foundation to address what our founders described as the "issues of the day" through our discretionary grants. Since 1916, generous Rhode Islanders have placed their trust in the Foundation's knowledge and expertise to determine the course of their philanthropy.
Civic Leadership Fund
Our current use fund, established in 2012, empowers us to go "beyond grantmaking" to influence critical community challenges through convening, research, and policy. Our state needs engaged, civic-minded people to step forward to work with us to seize exciting opportunities and solve stubborn problems.
Any of our current funds
Individuals, families, companies, and organizations have established funds at the Foundation to benefit specific causes or organizations, and each would welcome your support. Funds opened by donors who wish to remain anonymous are not listed below.
