For Nonprofits

Nonprofits across our state are working hard to make Rhode Island a better place for all to live and work. The Foundation is proud to support them. Together, we can improve lives.

There are three primary ways in which we can work together:

  1. Grant opportunities
The Foundation - thanks to the generosity of our donors - offers many grant opportunities.
  2. Capacity building
Helping nonprofits build capacity so they can better achieve their missions is a Foundation priority. We do this by sharing best practices, providing tools, doing good research, and encouraging leadership.
  3. Organizational endowment funds
More than 150 Rhode Island nonprofits have entrusted the Foundation with management of their organizational endowments and receive regular grant distributions from their fund. We would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about establishing an endowment at the Foundation for your nonprofit.
