Charitable Giving Options

Whether your client has a clear vision for his philanthropy or is looking for direction, we are ready to assist. Our professional staff has a broad knowledge of community issues, and we will tailor our services to each individual's needs.

We welcome the opportunity to work with you to create the personal philanthropic plan that is right for your client. For 100 years, we have partnered with professional advisors to create highly effective approaches to charitable giving.

Here are the primary ways for your client to give:

  1. Establish a permanent fund
Learn about the types of funds the Foundation offers and the assets we can accept to start a new fund.
  2. Establish a planned gift
We would be happy to work with you to help your client establish a deferred or life income gift. Alternatively, a charitable lead trust may fulfill your client's needs.
  3. Contribute to the Fund for Rhode Island - our unrestricted fund which supports our state's most pressing unmet needs
  4. Contribute to the Civic Leadership Fund - our current use fund, established in 2012, which empowers us to go "beyond grantmaking" to influence critical community challenges through convening, research, and policy.
  5. Support the Campaign for Roger Williams Park - a $10 million campaign we're leading in honor of our centennial to preserve and enhance one of Rhode Island’s most treasured spaces.
